Reflecting on 2010

The more and more I look back on this past year I realize all the changes and things I had done. I finally figured out where I truly belong one day {Dallas, Texas}. Single finally didn't seem like the end of the world but the start of actually living. I made new and amazing friends that I know I will have for a lifetime. I finally found my style of clothing, I branched out and realized that there were more stores than just Express and Abercrombie. I found new lovers and let go of others. I made my words come alive and started a blog, or two or actually five at one point...but now Always Choose Paris has all of my heart and words. I redecorated my bedroom finally. I got rid of the trashy leopard and hot pink look {so tacky!} and transformed it into a parisian get away. My taste in music has become much more broad. I made lasting family memories in Canada. I went to Nantucket and fell in love with the island, hopefully I will be living there for the summer. I turned 21 and realized more than ever who truly cares about me and those who don't. Theres more to life than just Weymouth Massachusetts. Don't waste energy or your breath of those who have hurt you too many times. I finally became the person I know I was meant to be and did the things that made me happy. If I wanted something, I was more than capable of getting it. My independence is everything to me, I do not need a man or any sort of person to be in control of all my happiness. I played model for a little while to help me break out of my shell. Many lessons have been learned, relationships were lost and gained, dreams had come true, and I finally found the one love I have been searching for, the love for myself. I finally am growing up and realized I am so much better than all of those people who have tried to put me down one way or another. And I found the person I hope one day will ask me to spend the rest of my life with him

Confetti falls to the ground

I was so worried all week about what my plans were for new years and what I would wear. Thankfully I figured out both today last minute. I went shopping with my best friend Amanda and we picked out the perfect outfit together. I could not be more pleased with my choice. At first I wanted sequence and lots of it. But when the department lady at Nordstroms told me they were all sold out I realized I would be matching EVERYONE if I chose something with lots of sparkle... so I went for the 'classic look'. I love polka dot tights and ankle boots so I put those pieces together with an adorable and vintage looking dress that only cost me $20.00 at Nordstrom. I added my long string pearl necklace and there you have it, my favorite outfit for an occasion thus far :) Of course Im going with the Carrie Bradshaw curls again and a gold clutch. Tonight was also the perfect night to wear the platinum nail polish I won in tiffany's giveaway I could not ask a better way to spend my New Years. I get to go see a ballet performance in town with my boyfriend and then we are heading to New Hampshire to celebrate with his friends that I am very excited to finally meet. See you all in 2011 loves!

Im One Lucky Girl

WOW! This Christmas has been by far the best Christmas ever. I got the best present this year any girl could ask for, my boyfriend. I became so much closer with my family and I realized no matter what life throws at me, I know who will be there at my side whether right or wrong. I woke up to amazing presents and a happy family for the first time in a long time. We had a huge breakfast (which we never do) filled with eggs and bacon and blueberry pancakes (all ingredients from Maine so it was that much better). Then we all watched 'Town' together and finished opening our gifts... So what exactly did I get for Christmas?

Well one of my regulars at my work bought me two tickets to the Boston NutCracker and I almost cried.
My parents.. I mean Santa paid for plenty of my outstanding bills, all new macbook accessories, a huge Bruins blanket, socks (of course), a much needed new hair dryer, gift certificates to the essential places, a kindle, and a few things I can take with me when I go to Nantucket for the summer. My sister bought me the one perfume I have wanted forever, Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana
Brookie got me a huge Eiffel Tower to put in my room and the cutest coffee mug with a Parisian theme and a little collage of her and I. Lots and Lots of money from my nana (good bye credit card debts) The little ones that I nanny for are bringing me to the Taylor Swift Concert! Last but certainly not least my boyfriend got me the comfiest Juicy Couture bathrobe which I will be living in, and a plane ticket to Las Vegas! I could not be more excited to finally go to the city of sin.

I could have not asked for a better christmas, I hope  santa was good to you too :)

Interview with the Gorgeous Tiffany

Did you know that there are millions of blogs out there dedicated to every stitch, every sole, and every strap of fashion. These girls have an enormous passion for the runway, the models and the clothes they carry with them. Many of them are noted for their personal sense and ability to deliver it to others. They can be recognized by a feature on a big time website, by a shout out on another blogger's post, or even just by the amount of followers they have gained {And trust me we are ecstatic when any of those happen}. Even though I am a real life based blog I do have a huge love for fashion and a respect for all those girls whom take their passion and make it into basically a part time job. People who read blogs but do not exactly write one are not aware of the preparation each author takes on the posts. It takes a lot more than an opinion and a few pictures. A general idea you can find here of how to be successful in one of the most competitive topics to blog about; fashion of course. When you become a follower of a blog you get a sense of the person and develop a 'friendship' of sorts. I asked Tiffany if I could do an email interview and I could not be more thrilled with the answers. Her blog is one of my favorite fashion based blogs because its relatable, reliable and affordable...three of my favorite adjectives! Her posts are always kept up to date with the newest trends and her passion is painted with every word she types. Here's the interview I hope you enjoy!

1. So I need to know first, how did you come up with your blog title and how long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for a couple of months now and I absolutely love. The title actually came from my mother. I had trouble coming up with one and my mom picked this one out and I stuck with it and love it.

2. Who are your blogger inspirations and who are your celeb inspirations?

My blogger inspirations would have to be Lindsey Calla of SaucyGlossie.com and Anna Katrina of Passport Glamour. I love their fashion and how they can combine anything and make it look effortless. I also am inspired by your blog. You talk about real things that anyone especially girls can relate to. Annalynne McCord. I admire her fashion sense so much. She always has a different look and that is how I am too. She is so beautiful and such a poised woman.

3. Do you free write about whats going on in your personal life
    Yes I do, I keep a journal.

4. What is your opinion on relationships?

     I am in a relationship now and I am absolutely happy. I have been in this relationship
     for almost two years now and I know I found the one man I am going to be with
     forever. We have talked about it and we will get married soon. Relationships are a
     good thing only if you are happy in them and care about yourself before you care
     about someone else. I know that is cliché, but it is true.

5. Do you have a "wife" ( If you don't know what Im talking about , see my post 'everyone needs a wife')

Yes I do have one and I love her to death. I can depend on her and talk to her about anything. Our relationship has changes a little since she got married and now has a beautiful baby girl, but we try and see each other as much as we can and we always make time for a “phone date.”

6. When you are putting together a post, how do you go about it?
I always brainstorm. I take a sheet of notebook out and list three different looks I would want to shoot. I shoot all the looks and the one that comes out the best I post on the blog.

7. Have you ever felt like giving up on blogging? And if so what kept you from leaving?

I have never wanted to give up on blogging. I am very proud of my blog and I know the followers will come.

8. Do you think you'll ever have an additional blog to your current one right now?

I am hoping to start on when I get married and have a family. I want to share with people my experience of being a wife and a mother.

9. Where do you want this little piece of yourself and your love of fashion take you?

I want my blog to become big. I want to have sponsors one day and be able advertise for them. I want it to be one of those that you would call a “hobby job.”

10. Since you are a fashion based blog, what do you think of those who concentrate more on life experience instead?

I respect their blogs and follow them. I love how they open up about personal issues and share them with everyone. Someone may be going through a rough time or a joyous time and knowing someone else goes through what they go through may comfort them.

11. Theres always a back story to everyone's passion, what inspired you to become a passionate fashionista?

I have always loved playing dress up since I could reach  my mother’s jewelry and make up. I do not remember a time that I did not have a passion for fashion.

12. What would you want to say to those who think fashion is " a waste of time and money" That I really do not care what they think. I don’t need anyone to judge me or what I do. I
am happy and that is what really matters.

Tiffany is just such a sweet girl whom I have enjoyed chatting with since becoming each other's followers on not only one another's blogs but on twitter as well. Her answers were just the icing on the cake as to why I am a daily reader and loyal follower to her blog. PS wasn't she so sweet to include me in her favorite blogs!? Along with two others that I also enjoy a lot. Anna happens to be a good friend of mine so it is great to see her get recognized for her fashion and style achievements too. I think its also nice to see that regardless of all the bloggers out there, no one is really in it to outdo the other, they are supportive and will give recognition whenever deserved, and Tiffany really deserves this recognition.

So become a follower on her page to show her your support. To read it is one thing and trust me its appreciated, but to see that number increase is such a great feeling.

Kate Spade

So I have been on a mission to get the perfect wallet. I have been searching everywhere you can think of. I was tempted to buy a Louis Vuitton wallet here {azure canvas} to match the bag I wanted. Then I thought since I do have a million coach bags I should just get one that would match all my bags, because that would be the sensible and financially smart thing right?. But when I saw that big bow, I fell in love. I usually don't go for Kate Spade accessories, rather her clothes, but this wallet was a classic. I bought it with no question. But what I discovered and love about Kate Spade is her cute little quotes in her merchandise. We all know I am a sucker for quotes and bows so I really just could no help myself.

"She's quick and curious and playful and strong. She is a voracious reader and a fantastic dancer. She saves old scrapbooks and loses her umbrella. Her emails pile up but she never forgets to call her grandmother. She has $7 dollars in change at the bottom of her handbag"

I am loving her new colors and style for this fall! How about you?

Playing Model

So this past weekend I got to "play model". I had so much fun doing this photoshoot. What I love about Leandro is I get to put my artistic insight in the pictures too. I definitely have a distinct look and modeling/taking these pictures shows it. So I thought I would share with all my lovely bloggers!

Fall In Love with Fall

As summer is slowly ending and fall is quickly approaching I couldn't help but reflect on these past few months and smile at the future. Things finally got to me after months of bottling it up. I woke up in a panic and decided the only place I wanted to be was Nantucket, so I fled. I needed the ocean air, my best friend and some quality window shopping. Running to Nantucket for a few days was the best decision. I realized so many things when I was there. It was finally time to see what everyone was telling me

He doesn't care, end of story.

I have so much hope for the fall. If you set yourself up for success that is what you will get. I have realized I need to work on only what I can control. I have my resume all finished, I am half way done with editing my book, I have my entire room and {new} closet de-cluttered and organized. I have 2 jobs that will support my education and bills.

I cannot wait for the fall, it really is my favorite season of the year. The smell, the food, the activities, the sports, {MY 21st BIRTHDAY!!!}.. nothing can ruin this year.

{My fall picks}

{Fashion}-- 'Boyfriend' button ups, skinny dark jeans & flats by RedFoot.
{School}-- Half.com for all my books and Target for all supplies.
{Vacations}-- Dallas in October and Nantucket for daffofil festival, (my favorite flower)

Team LC

Since day one of Laguna Beach and onto The Hills I have been on "Team LC" I think that everything she has done and how she has grown is incredible. She created a great role model for all ages... Strolling through Khols I noticed Lauren's brand had this little rack. I immediately grabbed the sequenced vest and army green romper. I love this outfit, everything about it is so comfortable and cute. You can dress it up and down.

My Weekend in Nantucket

{ My new favorite addition to the Jewelry Collection}

This weekend I went to Nantucket to visit my best friend. I could not have imagined a prettier island. Every house is made out of cedar wood, the streets are covered in cobblestone, and of course there are a ton of beaches. The Restaurants are so cute and original. My favorite was Fog Island Cafe {breakfast}. The chef's special was banana bread toast with sliced bananas and caramel sauce. It was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to make it when I get home. The beaches there are great. My favorite was Cisco Beach. The waves were HUGE and there was a surf competition going on. The whole atmosphere there is just mind blowing. The night life is just as fun. But the best part was just being with my friend Brooke. She is one of the few people that I can do vacations with. I had so much fun and I cannot wait to go back. I definitely recommend wearing sundresses and flats for the most part. My panama hat and burberry sunglasses were a necessity. Try and bring as much with you, it can get extremely expensive there. Before you know it you've spent like 300 dollars. I can't wait to go back and try some things that I missed out on. Like the Brewery and The Juice Bar.

Movie Tuesday

Last night I went to see Inception with my best friend. I had heard nothing but great things about the movie...and I have to say it made my top 5. With the weather being kind of weird, cloudy and muggy one minute then bright sunshine with a cool breeze the next I didn't know what to wear. I hate going out of the house in sweats but last night I was exhausted. I'm not usually a movie theatre person because I'd rather snuggle up on the couch
and be comfy.. but this outfit made it casual.

Pants- Victoria Secret Crop Yoga Pants {navy blue}
Tank- Casual BP Tank Top {Cream}
Cardigan- Free People {Gray/Oversized}

My Sunday Sowa

Today my mother and I went into the South End to see what this SOWA Market was all about. When I walked into the Market Place I was taken back. It was everything I loved all under tents... The people are great there, the atmosphere is unlike any other.. and the talent.. it's amazing. There was one artist though that stuck out to me, Wilton Artisan. She makes phenomenal pieces out of sea glass and other scraps that you'd never think could be jewelry. One look and I was sold to this amazing necklace. It is made out of old clock pieces. It says 'time 4 new beginnings'. My mom and I both thought it was perfect. It was $60.00 but totally worth it. It is the only one she has ever made and I felt privileged to have it. I can't wait to go back again next sunday and check out more artists. I also got two beautiful bouquets of sunflowers from a local grower all for 5.00. They went wonderful in my room right next to my laptop. I hope everyone enjoyed their hot but fabulous weekend, I know I did! Now back to reality and work tomorrow...

{Here are some other pictures my fabulous mom took}

Beat the Heat

And we're back to the heat wave factor. Everyone is trying to escape this heat while trying tobe productive. I learned that air conditioning has never been so sweet. I took the time this week to re-decorate my room. I was sick of the old, not put together room. Nothing matched and it seemed to bother me EVERY time I walked in. So I took a free week, blasted my air conditioner and painted my room, got a new bed set, painted my furniture, grabbed some cute room accessories and called it a "Day in Paris". I could not be happier with the result.
Target is having a sale on comforters { and trust me they are pretty cute!}
and Marshalls/ TJ Maxx has some amazing/ inspiring bedroom accessories.

{Before - it was a mess!}

{ In the process}

{After, and extremely pleased!}

{ little accessories!}

{ My inspiration for this entire room}

I hope you enjoyed this little experience with me. I had so much fun just creating a whole new room. It's still a work in progress, but I love it. Find something fun and changing like this for the next heat wave. My next project.. building my first closet ever. I am extremely excited for that. Finally my hard earned clothes and shoes will have a home!

Hello Heat Wave!

Its a hot one, but with barely any sun in Boston.. I used to always have trouble figuring out what to wear, but I realized simple is better. I chose to wear a details tank top from FreePeople and a simple pair of shorts from Abercrombie. To make this a more appealing outfit I wore my light brown gladiator sandals. I dressed it up with some simple jewelry & did a fishtail braid with my hair. Now I'm ready for some shopping and errands

Tank Top: we-the-free hazy vista tank {Picture could not be obtained}
Shorts: Abercrombie Classic Blue
Gladiator Sandals: Tory Burch

Review Happy

I am a avid shopper online. Whenever I am bored with the usual Facebook and Twitter I window shop the web. But after several returns I learned to read the reviews before I buy. Reading what others have said about a certain piece have been a deciding factor for me. So now I make sure that if I buy something I write a review about it immediately after. One place I always make sure to this is FreePeople.com. Some of their things can run differently and may not flatter me in one way. So next time you buy something, make sure to read the reviews and to also write one yourself. Its really a huge help! Happy Friday everyone!

I'll be going to the SOWA Market on Harrison Street in Boston on Sunday... I can't wait to tell you all about it!
--And I can't forget Nordstrom is having an anniversary sale, and Tory Burch I am coming for you!

THAT dress

It's summer and every girl needs that one dress. The dress you can wear casually, or a night out on the town. I found "my" dress a month ago at Nordstrom in the BP {Juniors} section. I usually wear it while running errands, doing some quick shopping in Boston, or meeting a friend for coffee. My dress is purple and fits just right.
